Cambridge River Tours

The historic Cambridge backs are a world famous tourist attraction and there is no better way to experience them than a leisurely punt tour with a knowledgeable local guide. A standard return trip takes approximately 45 minutes and takes in the ¾ mile stretch of river from Jesus Green to Silver Street. En route are many landmarks, including 7 colleges, the Mathematical Bridge and Bridge of Sighs, and of course the Chapel at King's College.

Contrary to popular belief, the large Cambridge punting companies are not the only option when it comes to taking a guided river tour. We like to think the situation is analogous to dining out. Many prefer to choose a small restaurant with local specialities over a fast food chain.

Cambridge River Tours is a small independent Cambridge punting operation established in 2005 by two experienced punt chauffeurs with many years experience working on the river Cam. Disillusioned with the 'bums on seats' cattle class approach favoured by the larger companies, we specialise in running tours on the traditional six person punts. Experienced chauffeurs provide a high quality, bespoke and above all personal service.

We can accommodate any size of group, whether you are a couple on a romantic break, a corporate party, hen party or a group of friends who want to see the sights Cambridge has to offer. Although we specialise in tours on the traditional six person punts, thanks to our strong links with independent punt operators running tours from the La Mimosa punt station, we can also arrange trips on the larger twelve seaters if required.
